+ The P K Kelkar Library follows an open access system except for text books (reserve section) and compact storage (basement). 

+ Library is following the Dewey Decimal Classification scheme (000–999) for the shelf arrangement of books.

+  While entering the library, readers should leave their personal belongings, including valuables (laptop, wallet, mobile phone, charger, etc.), in the baggage room close to the main entrance. However, they can carry loose papers, note books, and laptops (without a bag). 

+ Please keep your mobiles in silent mode inside the library.

+ Readers should not re-shelve books or other materials taken from the stacks. Books should be left on the reading table after use. Please remember that a document misplaced is a document lost.

+ Please maintain silence in the library.

+ Smoking and eatable items are strictly prohibited.

+ Do not move chairs and tables.

+ Maintain decorum and sit properly.

+ Readers leaving the library should allow the library/security staff to examine reading material and their personal belongings.

+ Please take care of the safety of issued materials from the library. If anyone is found doing so, he/she will be charged the full replacement cost of the material.

 

+ Personal papers and non-library materials should not be left unattended on tables.

+ Do not move books/journals from their designated places to other locations.

+ Do not exchange ID-Card with other students.

+ The holder of ID-Card is responsible for any book issued against it as shown by library records.

+ If one book of a set is damaged or lost, the member concerned shall be liable to replace the whole set.

+ An overdue charge of Rs. 1/- per volume per day is chargeable.

+ Visitors are required to enter the details in the register kept at the checkpoint before entering the library.

 Readers leaving the library should allow the library/security staff to examine reading material and their personal belongings.

+  Please contact the on-duty staff for queries.

+  Please keep the library premises clean.
