How can I become a member of the library?
Once your academic registration is done, you will automatically become a bona fide member of the library. No other formalities are required.
A separate form is required only for postdoctoral fellows. Membership form
Is there any separate library card that will be issued for using the library?
There is no separate card issued for members to use the library. An Institute Identity card (I-card) is sufficient to enter the library and refer to the collections. All bonafide members are haveing borrowing privileges.

How do I recommend a subscription to a new journal in the library?

Library encourages and permits those who are involved in academic research activity. Permission may be granted for a week with a recommendation letter from the research guide/head of the institution having valid identity card. For more details, please contact the I/c Circulation.
I am going on academic leave or temporarily withdrawing from the semester. Do I need to return the books that I borrowed?
Yes. library may recall the document for any purpose. It is recommended to return all the books before proceeding on long leave for optimum use of the library resources.
How do I access e-resources subscribed by the library? Do I need any separate login/password?
Most of the e-resources are accessible through IP authentication across the campus. Specific resources can be accessed thorugh mentioned user guidelines. Please contact I/c Periodicals for more information.
Can I access e-resources while off-campus?
Yes. E-resources can be accessible through SSL-VPN .
How do I get my clearance from the library?
You can apply for online nodues through the DOAA website. The library will mention the dues if any in the online form. To get final online clearance from the library, dues must be paid in the account and the receipt sent to the library's Circulation Division.

First, check the status of the book (s) that are already available in the library. The library follows a book/student ratio of 1:10. You may also make a request for additional copies for the instructor/tutor.
